The Personal Finance Society (PFS) celebrated the exceptional contributions of some of its volunteers at its Officers’ Conference on 23 September. The inaugural Local Volunteer Awards recognised six individuals whose time, dedication and passion have made a lasting impact across regional communities.
Every day, personal finance professionals help people make informed decisions, plan for the future and achieve the goals that matter most to them. Less visible, but just as important, are the volunteers who help those professionals learn, connect and develop throughout their careers.
These Exceptional Contribution awards recognise the volunteers who go above and beyond to support members, strengthen the profession, and make a real difference within the financial services community.

The PFS Local communities, provide members with access to dedicated career support and personal development opportunities close to home. They provide a mix of in-person and digital events to support CPD and help expand professional networks. Run by member-elected volunteers, these committees play a vital role in shaping the future of the society and maintaining its professional standards.
