The Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) Group will move its global HQ and London base to 30 Old Broad Street in the City of London from 2 March 2026. The move comes as the organisation’s five-year lease at 20 Fenchurch Street – also known as the Walkie Talkie – comes to an end in February.
The new office will offer a modern, vibrant environment designed to inspire collaboration among colleagues, while also creating a welcoming space for members to drop in, meet, and make use of facilities with ease.
Remaining in the City was a key priority for the CII Group, ensuring proximity to the Lloyd’s building and many of its members’ headquarters. The Institute previously inhabited Insurance Hall, Aldermanbury, from 1934-2018, before moving to 21 Lombard Street, and then 20 Fenchurch Street in 2021. The professional body was keen to once again provide the opportunity for its members to have access to a meeting space and other facilities on a flexible basis, which has proved more challenging at its current home.
Matthew Hill, chief executive of the CII Group, said: “We are delighted to be moving to a newly renovated office in the City that captures the energy, excitement and future-focused nature of the CII Group. The Walkie Talkie building has served us well for five years, but we were keen to see what more we could offer our colleagues and members. We’re excited to be moving to a building that will give us more space, more flexibility and better value for money. I am also expecting it to provide us with an opportunity to honour the memory of Brian Caruth, whose exceptional service and dedication to our professions will never be forgotten.”
